We chatted with the Ontario Bed and Breakfast Federation to discover nine of the best B&B and provincial park combinations in Ontario.

1. Sleepy Hollow Bed & Breakfast (Gananoque)

The park: Charleston Lake offers many opportunities for paddle sports enthusiasts and the park is widely known as an excellent fishing destination. Hikers love the rocky lake and forest landscape that is an extension of the Canadian Shield.

2. Nap-n-Nosh Bed & Breakfast (Bloomfield)

The B&B: Nap-n-Nosh is known for its gourmet breakfasts and landscaped grounds (with gazebos and pond). It is located at the center of over 50 wineries and breweries, numerous museums, great restaurants, and the largest concentration of artists in Ontario.

A day pass to Ontario Parks is available for guests to sign out on a first-come, first-served basis.

The park: Sandbanks is home to the largest bay barrier dune formation in the world and features three long sandy beaches that some say are among the best in Canada.

Nap-n-Nosh B&B is also just 30 minutes from North Beach Provincial Park and just 45 minutes from Presqu’ile Provincial Park.

3. Muskoka Dream Catcher Bed & Breakfast (Huntsville)

The park: Arrowhead’s 8 miles of trails surround ancient cliffs and spring-fed lakes. Enjoy an afternoon on the park’s sandy beaches or try trout fishing in a stocked lake.

Muskoka Dream Catcher B&B is also just 40 minutes from Algonquin Provincial Park.

4. Montrose Inn Boutique Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room (Belleville)

The B&B: Montrose Inn offers a great, freshly cooked hot breakfast every day (and will be happy to offer vegetarian or gluten-free options). Bay of Quinte Golf & Country Club is less than 1 km from the Inn and has a fabulous restaurant. All rooms have views of the Bay of Quinte.


The park: Presqu’ile is a migration point that bird watchers will love. Explore 16 km of trails along the coast and through forests and meadows. If you stay overnight at the Inn, you can order a hearty picnic lunch to eat on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Montrose Inn is also just 45 minutes from Ferris, North Beach and Sandbanks Provincial Parks.

5. Bed & Breakfast at Eldorado Beach on Lake Superior (Thunder Bay)

The B&B: Eldorado Beach on Lake Superior is a comfortable B&B located right on the shore. Relax in a whirlpool on the outdoor terrace overlooking Lake Superior or sleep by the fire in the guest lounge.

The park: With over 80km of incredible walking trails, visitors to Sleeping Giant enjoy spectacular geological features such as the Sea Lion and Tee Harbour. Paddle on Lake Marie Louise, climb the “Giant” and keep your eyes peeled for the vibrant wildlife of Ontario’s boreal forest.

Eldorado Beach on Lake Superior is also just 30 minutes from Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park and just 1 hour from Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park.

6. Among the Maples Bed & Breakfast (Owen Sound)

The park: MacGregor Point is one of the most ecologically diverse natural sites along the Lake Huron shoreline.

Between the Maples is also just 30 minutes from Sauble Falls Provincial Park and just over 1 hour from Inverhuron Provincial Park.

7. Stone Edge Estate Bed & Breakfast (Georgetown)

20 minutes from Forks of the Credit Provincial Park.
