We know that camping or visiting a park for a day for the first time can be intimidating.
What supplies do I bring? What are the rules? How can I make my trip as comfortable as possible?
Don’t worry, the Ontario Parks Ambassador program is here to help make your trip easy and memorable.
Meet our park ambassadors
They are personnel located in 19 parks throughout the province. Your goal? To make sure you have a great experience in the park.
Book time with a park ambassador for a free 30-minute one-on-one session or sign up for free online workshops before your park visit.. You can choose the camping skill you would like to learn.

*Please note that the Campfire Building Workshop will be replaced by the Campfire Cooking Skills Workshop when a park is under a full or partial fire ban. Check if your park is under a partial or full fire ban on our alerts page.
If you’re not ready to spend the night in the parks just yet, purchase a daily vehicle permit for a participating park and explore during the day.
Our ambassadors will have drop-in sessions throughout the summer so you can ask your questions about camp, take a guided hike, or visit a demo camp.
