Note: If you decorate your campground for Halloween this year, please respect the park’s natural environment and remember to remove all decorations and trash when the festivities are over.

Sauble Falls — Camper Halloween

Campers, come prepared to decorate your site/tent/trailer – the spookier the better. On Saturday night, ghosts and goblins will go trick-or-treating at decorated campsites.

Inverhuron — Halloween Camper

Decorate your site and carve your pumpkins (you must supply your own pumpkin). Kids can dress up and go trick-or-treating around the campground after dark. When you’ve had enough of trick-or-treating, you can return to your seat to enjoy a family campfire and spooky stories!

Activities include site decorating contest, pumpkin carving contest, chili and baked goods cook-off, scavenger hunt, and trick-or-treating. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Start the weekend by decorating your site and enter the site decorating and pumpkin carving contests. On Saturday, create a pumpkin masterpiece for a chance to win a prize; Then dress up and trick-or-treat around the campsites!

Start the weekend by decorating your campsite and carving your pumpkins. On Saturday, head to the amphitheater and welcome our guest snake scientists! Trick or treating will begin at dusk.

Balsam Lake –– Trick or treat, Halloween balm!

Join us for trick-or-treating at the campgrounds on Saturday night! Be sure to wear your Halloween costume and bring candy to share. Other events include pumpkin carving, a camp decorating contest and a historic “spirit walk.” Pick up the weekend schedule at the Permit Office when you arrive!

Come to the Friday Night Bonfire to learn the history and traditions of All Hallows Eve and enjoy stories, games, music and more!

Saturday activities are for registered campers only. Decorate your site for a chance to win a prize! Dress up and go trick-or-treating around the campground, then take a guided nighttime spooky hike where you’ll learn about bats, owls, and coyotes.

Algonquian Halloween Haunted Weekend

Halloween camping.

Join park staff on Friday night to enjoy Tales from the Camboose and a spooky campfire, and on Saturday to explore a collection of animal skeletons at the Visitor Center.

Mew Lake Campground will feature “select” carved pumpkins, the spookiest campground, and best costume contests. Everyone is invited to take part in trick-or-treating between the camps on Saturday night and, later, have a great time at nearby Old Airfield to the howling of a wolf. We’ll be roasting spooky spider sausages and ghostly marshmallows.

Join the park’s naturalists for special Halloween-themed interpretive programming. Learn to differentiate between spooky myths and facts, decorate your campsite (no hay or straw and respect the park environment), participate in camp trick-or-treating, or decorate a scarecrow with natural objects from your campsite.
