Stay warm and cozy in Ontario Parks this February in one of our indoor accommodations! We have many cabins, cabins and yurts available throughout the month, especially for weekday visitors!

Killarney Provincial Park – yurts (6), cabins (2)

Georgian Bay shoreline, 1.25 hours from Sudbury, 4 hours from Toronto

The six Killarney yurts are located at George Lake Campground on their own site, away from other campers. A short walk of 70m to 200m will take you to your accommodation from the car park. Each yurt sleeps six people and is electrically heated. The yurts are located near a vaulted bath.

The camp cabin is a rustic one-room cabin with a wood interior and a covered front porch. The cabin sleeps five people in a queen bed and a double/single bunk bed. The cabin has a small kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, kettle and hob. There is a dining table and chairs for indoor dining.

Outside you will find a gas barbecue and picnic table. A propane fireplace provides a cozy temperature and atmosphere inside.

MacGregor Point Provincial Park – yurts (16)

Lake Huron shore, 3 hours from Toronto, 2.5 hours from London

Inside the Macgregor Point yurt.

Each yurt at MacGregor Point sleeps six people in two sets of double or single bunk beds. Inside the yurt, campers will also find a table and chairs, lighting, electric heating, and a power outlet.

Outside visitors are provided with a fire pit, kitchen shelter, picnic tables and a propane barbecue with side burner. A comfort station with drinking water, toilets and showers is available all year round.

Pinery Provincial Park: yurts (12), cabin (1), soft shelter (1)

Shores of Lake Huron, 1 hour from London, 3 hours from Toronto

These eight-sided, tent-like structures are heated, furnished, and available year-round. Inside each yurt, visitors will find two bunk beds that sleep six, a table and four chairs, electric lighting, and a heater for cool-weather camping.

Additionally, you will find a gas barbecue outside for cooking, a fire pit, and a picnic table on site. Nearby is a comfort station with toilets, showers and laundry.

The cabin sleeps five people in a queen bed and a double/single bunk bed. High-quality mattresses will provide you with a restful night’s sleep. The cabin has a small kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and countertop.

There is a dining table and chairs for indoor dining. Outside you will find a gas barbecue and picnic table. A propane/electric fireplace provides additional comfort.

Located on a wooden platform, the tent features rustic log furniture and two queen-size beds (sleeps four) equipped with comfortable mattresses. The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and countertop. Outside you will find a gas barbecue for cooking.

Quetico Provincial Park – rustic cabins (3)

2.5 hours from Thunder Bay

Winter cabin in Quetico.

Stay in one of these cabins and enjoy an oceanfront view, quick access to hiking trails, and the fresh air of Northern Ontario. Latrines and flush toilets are just a short walk away.

Sandbanks Provincial Park – cabin (1), heritage house (1)

Shores of Lake Ontario, 2.5-3 hours from Ottawa and Toronto

Jacques Cottage

This one and a half story cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, wood burning fireplace, BBQ and propane. The cabin sleeps six people. Bed linen and towels are supplied.

Maplerest Heritage House

Close to park trails, beaches, and day-use facilities, this four-bedroom Victorian home is furnished with antiques. Equipped with everything you need for a luxurious Sandbanks holiday.

Silent Lake Provincial Park – yurts (8), cabins (10)

2.5 hours from Toronto / 3 hours from Ottawa

Spend the day skiing, snowshoeing, or ice fishing, then return to a heated base (yurts 5, 9, 16, and 38 include wood stoves, while the others use electric heating).

The yurts sleep up to six people and have a fire pit and propane barbecue outside for cooking.

Sleeping Giant Provincial Park – cabins (5)

Shores of Lake Superior, 1.25 hours from Thunder Bay

These barrier-free cabins are located in the park on the shores of Lake Marie Louise. Each cabin has three bedrooms, a bathroom with a large shower, a fully equipped modern kitchen, propane fireplace, and heated porch. Pots, pans, cups, bowls, plates, cutlery, kettle, coffee maker, pillows and bedding are provided.

Outside each cabin is a fire pit and picnic table.

Windy Lake Provincial Park: yurts (4), cabins (2)

Winter cross-country ski destination located 45 minutes northwest of Sudbury

Windy Lake offers some of the best cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the region. Many winter enthusiasts come for the day, but with four trailside yurts that are heated and available for winter use, winter camping is easy.

Access to the yurts is via ski slopes only, which is a hike of about 500 feet (166 m). Near each yurt there is an outhouse that is heated during the winter months.

Reservation Tips

While there are several weekend opportunities available, you’ll find the best selection Sunday through Thursday.
